Manilva Costa del Sol

Two kilometres inland from the sea, surrounded by an ocean of vineyards, is the beautiful village Manilva. This village and the area are not as developed as many other towns in the Costa del Sol. Not many tourists have discovered this beautiful village, maybe because it lies not only inland but is also almost 100 kilometres from the capital of the province. The nearest town is San Luis de Sabinillas, it is on the coast.

Manilva was once built to protect the fishermen against pirate attacks. This is reason why it is built on a hill, supplying a good panoramic view over the coast.
Also near Manilva is enough to do. For example go to one of the sulphur baths. One of them is one of the best in the region, people drive for miles to go to it and still undiscovered by tourist. They are not the only structures that remained of the Romans. Around Manilva are two well preserved aqueducts.
Even though not many tourists have yet discovered Manilva, it is easy to get to other places in the Costa del Sol with the highway E15/A7 one kilometre away.
